BreakOut West and the WCMA’s

Travelling to Whitehorse, Yukon (my birthplace!) to take part in the Western-Canadian-focused music showcase, conference, and Western Canadian Music Awards from October 2 - 6. I play two showcases of my original songs with the amazing Yellowknife singer and fiddler Andrea Bettger, and Yukon rockers Jody Peters and Graeme Peters.

Friday Oct 4, 8:45pm at the MacBride Museum
Saturday Oct 5, 9:30pm at the Old Firehall

Tons of other great bands (lots from the north!) and music business learning to catch during the conference. The public can attend performances, tickets are $20 for a weekend pass - get tickets here!

And for the Western Canadian Music Awards, we’ll get to see if I nab one of the two awards I was nominated for:
Classical Composer of the Year (gotta point out that two other nominees - Allan Gordon Bell and Laurie Radford are my former professors from U of C!!)
Classical Artist of the Year (Gotta point out the other nominees are all AMAZING!)
